Hello! When I saw this petrol faux-suede on the Loubodu website I knew I had come across something special. I loved the oversized rose pattern and the way the colours worked together, and I thought the cross stitch design was really sweet. When the fabric arrived however, I was really surprised to discover that the roses weren’t just printed on, as I had assumed from looking at the fabric online, it was actually stitched through the fabric and the roses were embroidered on. Hello my friends! I hope you are well and staying safe. These are some complex times we’re going through but I have to say sewing projects along with this blog have been keeping me calm and productive. Making a coat is definitely on my list of challenges and when I saw the Helen's Closet Pona Jacket I thought it would be a good introduction. It looked to be a simple construction and no lining to wrestle with. I chose this gorgeous light petrol needlecord as it is one of my favourite colours. I loved them all, but opted for the brown colour-way as I could see it working well in my wardrobe. I didn’t have a specific project in mind at this point, although I was thinking a dress would be a great option. Once the fabric arrived and I saw how beautifully flowy it was, I started to think that a blouse with billowy sleeves would be amazing. I already had the Papercut Patterns Nexus blouse in my stash but was yet...

Hi there and welcome to my first post for the Loubodu blogger team. I was so excited to be chosen to join the team late last year as I'm always drooling over the amazing range of jersey fabrics on the website! When it came to choosing my first fabric I was like a kid in a sweet shop! After much consideration I went with 2.5m of a lovely soft blue-grey cotton jersey to go with the New Look 6525 dress pattern which my sister gave me for Christmas. Loubodu have so many colours in this fabric it was difficult to...
